Things we bought today
We got one of those "project starter" gift cards from Lowe's in the mail the other day. If you spend $50, you can get $10 off. An excuse to spend $50 at Lowe's? Sweet. (The card wound up not working, but that's another story.)
So we bought:
Carolina jessamine
chamomile
lavender
green and red bell peppers
lamb's ear
dwarf bottlebrush "Little John"
two S-hooks for hanging bird feeders
black oil sunflower seed
a couple of bags of mulch

Ooh, most of the plants you bought are on my wish list, too.
I'd love to plant Carolina jessamine--my mom grew it when I was a kid, so it's nostalgic for me. But I read somewhere recently that it's fairly poisonous, so maybe it's not the best choice for us right now. Our 7 month old loves to be outside, loves to put things in his mouth, and is coming closer and closer to overcoming the struggle for mobility...Guess I'll just have to content myself with photos of Carolina jessamine by other Austin bloggers who grow it. :)
