Luck with Vines Update

I (very carefully) Rounded Up my prolific poison ivy last weekend, and as of a week later, the leaves were starting to look a bit the worse for wear.  Not the dramatic demise I was hoping for, but it's progress, I suppose.

Looking through the slats of the fence, I can tell this is a serious plant in the uncivilized land behind our house.

I imagine it'll take a second treatment.

Hi Rachel,

I was changing purses and found your lovely little card. Now, I know where your blog is. Even though the poison ivy is dying or dead, still wear the two layers of disposable gloves and use a baggie to rid yourself of it. It can still have the oil in it.

Hope your next passion flower vine lives.

It was great to meet you.~~Dee

Nice blog! Do you have a previous post about the "worms" you feed with coffee grounds?

  • I don't, actually, but I really should write one! -Rachel

Keep at it. Those are tough vines.

I just thought I'd let you know that you can get the rash even from dried up P.I. or in the winter when it has no leaves. My wife is testimony in both cases. I am one of the lucky ones and don't get it at all.
