Robin Red-Breast

This robin posed nicely for me while we were out geocaching at the West Bouldin Creek Greenbelt in south Austin.

Isn't he nice? I get a lot of mileage out of my camera (particularly when birdwatching) by taking a picture at the highest resolution, then cropping the heck out of it to give one (reasonably) sharp picture.

My mom recently bought a camera of the same style as mine -- but the newest version -- and I'm a bit dismayed to see how much sharper are the pictures it takes. I've only had my camera for a year, and already, it's nearly obselete.
