teddy bear cholla

Although we've had an unfortunate run-in with these innocuous-sounding but exceedingly vicious cactus in the past, we had never seen them as big as the ones in Saguaro National Forest. In close-up, it's clear why they're so dangerous; those thorns are ominous.
