Two geese were guarding one stretch of the Town Lake hike and bike trail when I was there on Friday. They seemed particularly vigilant about strollers with small children inside, but they weren't particularly fond of me with my big cameras, either. I never did get a picture of this goose hissing at me.

we have Canada geese here, they're just *mean* -- I've seen them chasing toddlers (who, it turns out, can run amazingly fast!), I've never been brave enough to get close enough to see their teeth. Great pictures, also love the one of the two babies, the soft down is such a contrast in mood to this one here ;)
