I'm sure it's not so green there this time of year. Taken on a beautiful, crisp summer morning, August 21, 2005.

I have seen this view many times. My mother is Lorna Howard-Best and she is originally from Frenchman Butte. It has been some years since I have been there but the memories live on in my mind. It was just like yesterday when I was there last. My mother is the oldest daughter of Ezra (Ike) and Olive Howard. She is also one of the great grand daughters of Fernado & Alice Howard, who were one of the first settlers in the North Bend District, close to Frenchman Butte. I always enjoy getting back to the Butte to see all of my relatives.
