If you aren't a regular reader of Ms. Pineapple, one of my favorite local diarists, please go read her take on politics and the state of society today. It's brilliantly written.
It's about time I was able to get to my weblog again. I've been shut out since last night as a result of the "internet slowdown" widely reported today.
Yesterday, I walked across campus and around the office -- over two miles altogether.
Today, I don't think I've left the house. Yay for Saturdays.
Daily total (1/24): 2.159
Grand Total: 9 miles
If you love me, you'll sign up at Swappingtons and say you heard about it from me (username: Rachel). It's free, and you won't get spam, but you'll have the opportunity to trade books, cds, dvds, and so on.
(Pushy much?)
I got pierced at lunch today. The timing was a bit impulsive, but I've wanted the piercing for months. It's nice to have good piercers within walking distance of the office, yep.
I pierced my tragus -- imagine the little flap of flesh in front of your ear canal, if you need a reference. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would.
(Is that a glowing recommendation, or what?) I'll post pictures later.
