Spree
- What I planned to buy today:
- a pair of pants like Sarah's
- a corset
- maybe a nose ring
- the new Ani DiFranco cds
- tickets to the Ani concert in Austin next month
- What I actually bought today:
- a pair of pants like Sarah's
- a pair of grey pants
- a pair of jeans (40% off)
- a pair of black flowy pants (25% off)
- a coverup vesty-thing ($6.50)
- a shirt ($4.50 -- the saleslady rather snarkily informed me that it was probably the cheapest thing in the store.)
- a pair of Doc Martens (I don't plan to tell Claudia about these. She's of the opinion that I have too many pairs of clunky shoes already. But they're cute, and they were $40. I'm sure you see the dilemma. And really, can you ever have too many pairs of Doc Martens? I saw some cool short Doc boots that reminded me of Hedwig's from the stage show, but they were $89, so they'll have to wait. Sigh.)
- a pair of mary janes
- a super-cool small brown leather backpack that I can carry as a purse but fit my digital camera in ($25)
The way I bought stuff, you'd think I had a whole bunch of extra money burning a hole in my pocket. Just to clarify, I don't. And I don't think my little spending spree has to do with tomorrow's ignominious date, or with the conversation CY and I had this afternoon about painting one's literal or figurative toenails. Impulsive, to be sure, but practical, as well.

Just thought I'd say hi to a fellow austinite and austin journaler who's an Ani fan. I got tix to the show, thankfully they're reserved seats this time and not general admission. I'm also stoked it's just her and her guitar and not the whole band this time. The new cd is ok, but I think I still prefer Living In Clip.
Anyway, HI
