...safe and sound after a long day of travel.

I took yesterday off to start getting settled in.

I'm back at work today, and last I saw, he was sleeping soundly and enjoying his life of leisure.

I'm happy.

It's good. All good.

After seven and a half months of hurry-up-and-waiting, an official interview in Vancouver, a fingerprint check, and some very tense days of not knowing whether we'd get the visa in time, I'm relieved to report that Scott has his visa in hand and he'll be arriving tomorrow.

Thank goodness.

This is by no means the end of this process, but if all goes well tomorrow, it'll be the last stage of this process that we'll have to spend apart.

This makes me very happy. :)
